New Year’s fruit salad

We tried dragon fruit this morning. This gorgeous fruit is crunchy but not too sweet, with a flavor that’s like a cross between kiwi and pear. Some people like it with a little lemon juice on it or a sprinkling of salt. You can use it to make dragon fruit sorbet, and supposedly it makes an awesome martini. I would like to try both.

(The lovely pink skin shouldn’t be eaten.)
