Hot breakfasts for cold mornings
Now that the rain is here and mornings are gloomy, I’ve rediscovered oatmeal. I don’t have the fancy, steel-cut variety, just old-fashioned rolled oats. After they’ve cooked I stir in some frozen blueberries. Two or three minutes later I spoon them into my bowl and add about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, some seeds or nuts (today I used pumpkin seeds) and 1/2 teaspoon of butter.
After I pour milk in my bowl, with my spoon I will carve out one delicious bite after another. (No stirring!)
