Feathery phenomenon at Piccadilly Circus
Last week as we left the restaurant in Covent Garden and headed to the underground, we began to see feathers flying around on the sidewalk. Intrigued, we followed the feathers to Piccadilly Circus. Pinch me, is this real? To celebrate the finale of London’s 2012 Art Festival, 1.5 tons of feathers were dropped on the biggest street party I’ve ever seen. We waded through them to see happy people sitting in feathers and showering each other with them.
I went back to my hotel with feathers stuck to my shoes and dress, and continued to find feathers in my luggage throughout the rest of our trip in Europe.
