Water droplets on roses
For those of you who follow me and read my posts, you may remember that I’m an early riser. This morning I woke up at 4:30 and knew I wouldn’t be going back to sleep. An hour later I grabbed my camera and drove up to Portland’s Rose Garden in Washington Park.
Highway 26 was smooth sailing and I had my car parked not more than 12 minutes after I had set out. The sprinklers stopped as I walked down into the tiered rose beds, and I waited in the quiet. The sun rose over Portland at 5:48am, spreading beams of light onto the water droplets of hundreds of thousands of rose petals and leaves. The garden sparkled in the early morning sunlight.
