From my kitchen - homemade corn tortillas
A homemade tortilla is nothing like the store-bought variety. The soft, chewy texture and the fresh corn flavor of a homemade tortilla might compel you roll up your sleeves and try to make your own. If so, be prepared for some work. After lots of practice I’m proud to say that I’ve successfully cranked out some beauties.

Mini rum cakes!
I found a lovely little baking pan at Goodwill the other day that made six individual bundt cakes. I had been thinking about making mini rum cakes for a while but this gave me the incentive. As you can see, they turned out just dandy! Now the only problem is that they’re in the refrigerator tempting me. I’ll try this again during the holidays and give them away as gifts.
